I made guacamole today for the first time! *feeling quite proud* :-) I also used my new can opener for the first time today and I'm so happy that it actually works great and doesn't require any struggling with it! This was a more expensive one (around $17 I think) than I used to buy earlier.

Last night, I had a wonderful working-on-artwork get together with [info]metalana . I'm so glad she started this.

I have found that using a timer to time myself while doing something really helps me in getting over my tendencies to procrastinate things or avoid things. So far, I've used it for some of my work and for answering emails that I'm avoiding. But I don't use it all the time. Does anyone else also use them? Any other ideas about what to use to get over procrastination/avoidance?

I finally saw the last two episodes of the season this Thursday. Earlier in the season, I had sometimes found myself loosing interest in the show, but these two episodes blew me away and shook me hard to remind me why I love this show!!!

Read my reaction (obviously this is also a SPOILER warning) )

Just some quotes that I came across:

I see and I remember
I do and I understand"
—Confucius

Thanks  [info]neeuqdrazil for initially telling me about this issue. Amazon is now claiming that it was just a mistake, an internal error, that caused thousands of gay and lesbian books to be listed as Adult and to loose their sales ranking. Amazon is saying that the ranking deletions were an "embarrassing and ham-fisted cataloguing error." And interestingly, a hacker claimed that he was responsible for all the problems. So no actual censorship? I just can't seem to totally believe Amazon...

I just made a doctor's appointment! *Feeling proud* I don't know why, but I always feel nervous about seeing one and that's why it took me almost a month to actually make it. My wrist hurts...I don't know why. I guess it's good timing, I can ask the doc about it tomorrow.

I still have to do one other thing that I have been avoiding....getting a haircut. I'll do that this week. I also need to see a dentist sometime in the near future.
